I just posted my first item on Etsy! It is the crocheted necklace found in my previous post. If you like the necklace and would like it in a different color, just let me know. As I listened to Cat Stevens (much to the dismay of Jeremiah), I finished this lovely piece of neckware. The necklace is composed of hand crocheted circles and a button connects the ends.
I really like this design and hope to make many more necklaces based on it. Hope to post this necklace up on Etsy soon.
My main sewing focus so far has been the Ipod pouch/sleeve. It is relatively easy to make and I am very comfortable making it so I produce a lot more of them in a shorter time span. My other designs taking a bit longer to make. Each design I come up with has to be improved over and over until I feel it is as close to perfect as I can get it. So to get the business going, I am focusing on pouches/sleeves at the moment.
Nothing has been posted on my etsy shop yet but I will announce it as soon as I do!

This blog will be dedicated to keeping tabs on a my creative going-ons. In case you did not already know, I have started my own little company of sorts, appropriately named thread and ink. I chose to name it thread and ink because my work will be centered around items that I make out of fabric and thread, and out of paper and ink. My main focus at the moment are items made from fabric, but I hope to focus on the paper and ink part very soon.
All my items will be for sale on etsy as soon as I can get them posted. Since all my items are made by hand, it takes a while to make just one item! My etsy shop is already set up and can be found at http://darems.etsy.com.
